Case Study

Two buildathons that drove product adoption and surfaced talent SwytchCode hired.
SwytchCode partnered with KNOTiC across two hands-on AI buildathons, one hosted with Google for Developers at Paytm, Noida, and an 8-hour offline edition at ThoughtWorks, Gurugram. The programs worked on two fronts at once: getting developers building on SwytchCode's API and agent technology, and giving the team a live look at engineering talent working under real conditions.

Client / Partner
Challenge
SwytchCode wanted two things from the same program: more developers actually building on its platform rather than just hearing about it, and a credible way to spot engineers worth hiring. Interviews show how someone talks about code; they wanted to see how people build.
Objective
Run buildathons where developers ship real integrations on SwytchCode, so the same day produces both product feedback from genuine usage and a shortlist of builders the team has watched work.
KNOTiC's role
KNOTiC ran both buildathons end to end: community outreach and registrations, partner and venue coordination, the mentor and judge lineup on the floor, and project submissions hosted under KNOTiC on Commudle.
Developer Outreach
Reached developers through KNOTiC's community, social channels and targeted outreach, bringing in 2,200+ registrations across both buildathons.
Hands-on Building
Created focused buildathon environments where developers built on SwytchCode APIs alongside Google Gemini and Antigravity, from first API call to live demo.
Product Adoption
Used track-based problem statements and mentor support to move developers from experimenting with SwytchCode to shipping working, integrated solutions.
Talent Discovery
Put SwytchCode's team on the floor as mentors and judges, so they could watch how participants scoped problems, debugged and shipped under time pressure.
Execution & Judging
Managed registrations, participant coordination, mentors, judges, project submissions and the overall buildathon experience.
Programs

A community AI buildathon at the Paytm office in Noida, hosted with Google for Developers, where builders combined SwytchCode APIs, Google Gemini and Antigravity to ship practical AI solutions across four tracks.
Winning builds: Rackey (Syna Agarwala), ResolveAI (Prashant Arya), Aurora (Himani Hassija) and Global Collab Assistant (Ryosuke Kawashima).

An 8-hour offline AI buildathon at ThoughtWorks, Sector 59, Gurugram. Problem statements went out a day early, five mentors stayed on the floor, and judging closed inside the same 8 hours.
Winning builds · Buildathon 02, Gurugram
Judged at the end of the same 8-hour window, each build was shipped on SwytchCode and demoed live on the floor.

Developer & community impact
Across two buildathons, one hosted with Google for Developers at Paytm, Noida and an 8-hour offline edition at ThoughtWorks, Gurugram, developers moved from discovering SwytchCode to building on it in depth. 150K+ developer outreach brought in 2,200+ registrations, 240+ built on the floor, and 180+ projects were submitted across the two editions. The floor doubled as a hiring signal: Himani Hassija finished on the podium at the Noida edition and went on to join SwytchCode as an SDE intern.
Technology focus
SwytchCode helps AI agents work with production APIs by providing implementation context and an execution layer with authentication, validation, retries, idempotency and audit controls. Builders paired it with Google Gemini for reasoning and Antigravity for AI-assisted development, integrating services like Gmail, Google Calendar, GitHub, Jira, Notion, Zoom, Netlify and Resend.

Partner
KNOTiC ran our buildathons with real professionalism and never missed a deadline. The events were engaging, the participant outreach was excellent, and we came away with a large variety of use cases for SwytchCode. Highly recommended.

Builder
After attending quite a few tech events and hackathons, I can genuinely say KNOTiC stands out. I walked into the Build with SwytchCode hackathon with no idea what the day had in store and walked out with a podium finish and an internship opportunity with SwytchCode. If you’re wondering whether KNOTiC is worth your weekend, it absolutely is.
